• 3.5mm knitting needles (treehouse)
• 3mm knitting needles (fairy)
• A chenille needle
• Scissors
• All-purpose sewing needle if you are using eye beads
Additional materials
• A pair of 4mm mushroom-shaped eye beads
• Toy stuffing
• Cardboard
• Weights (coins, dry beans, ceramic beads, etc)
• A small amount of pink 4-ply
• A pair of 2mm black beads
• Cotton thread
Tension
24 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10cm tension square in St st (not essential)
Practical tips
• Leave long ends at the beginning and end for sewing.
• Sew the seam with RS facing, using mattress stitch.
• If you do not wish to use beads, embroider eyes with black yarn.
