Turtle Family
This is the knitting pattern to make 5 turtles. There are patterns for 4 different sizes, Mummy and Daddy turtle, big sister turtle, little brother, and the baby turtle.
The patterns are knitted flat and sewn up at the end.
Yarn used: Anchor tapestry wool (8014, 8132, 8412, 8938, 9096, 9212, 9536) 1 skein each
*You can use any DK (8-ply) colour of your choice. Colours are stated as “body colour” and “shell colour” in the pattern for this reason.
Small amounts of dark brown DK
About the yarn: DK (8-ply), 10m per 5g skein, 100% wool
Tension: 28sts x 34 rows = 5cm measured over Stst, but it is not essential
Needles used: A pair of 2.75mm (US 2) DPN knitting needles
Other supplies: Chenille needle or tapestry needle with a fairly sharp point and a large eye, toy stuffing
Size: largest 6cm, smallest 5cm in length
