This toy is worked flat in pieces and seamed. The stitches are all simple but take your time with sewing up carefully for a neat finish.
Yarn used for the sample
• [A] 20g white DK (8-ply)
• [B] 20g peach DK
• [C] 10g yellow DK
• [D] 15g fleecy white chunky
About the yarn
• DK; King Cole Pricewise DK, 292m per 100G, 100% acrylic
• Chunky; King Cole Cuddle Chunky, 125m per 50m, 100% polyester
Tension
24 sts x 30 rows = 10 cm measured over St st (not essential)
Needles used
3.5mm straight
Other supplies
• A chenille or tapestry needle
• Stitch holder
• Toy stuffing
• A pair of 6mm mushroom-shaped black eye beads or safety eyes
• Pink pastel
• Gold pipe cleaner
• Piece of card or book, 16cm wide
• Piece of card or book, 19cm wide
