Knitting Pattern PDF
This is the pattern to make pumpkin, mushrooms, garlic, squash & gnome.
The pattern is knitted flat and sewn up at the end. No circular knitting is required.
Finished size: Pumpkin 5in (12cm) diameter, 4in (10cm) tall, Butternut squash 2.5in (6cm) diameter, 3.5in (9cm) tall, Small yellow squash 2in (5cm) diameter 2in tall, Garlic 1.5in (3.8cm) diameter 2in tall, Mushrooms 1.5-2.5in tall, Gnome 2.75in (7cm) tall
Yarn
Oddments of DK (8-ply) yarn up to 25g *Pumpkin stem is worked with Aran yarn for the sample work, however, feel free to use any yarn from your stash. Yarn guidance is given at the beginning of each project.
Additional supplies
• Toy stuffing
• Lightweight garden wire
Tools
• 3-3.25mm knitting needles
• 3mm Double-pointed-needle to make i-cords (i-cord instruction given in the pattern)
• A chenille needle
• Scissors and plyers
Tension
24 x 36 =10cm square (not essential)
Practical tips
• Leave long ends for the parts that require assembly.
• Sew the seam with RS facing, using mattress stitch
• You can use straight needles unless specified.
